Fueling smart city services

Digital technologies and innovation are becoming drivers for better quality of life with the implementation of new and more efficient urban services for both residents and businesses.

With innovations ranging from smart mobility (real time transit information, smart parking systems, shared electric cars and bicycles), to digital services (community data collection, coding platform, interactive map) and energy saving (Paris-Saclay smart grid), by locating in Paris-Saclay companies will derive all the benefits of a high quality territory energized by the innovative and sustainable spirit of its communities.

As a privileged industrial demonstrator, Paris-Saclay welcomes all companies with a desire to test out innovations and new products and services.

Implementing a circular economy

From a land use point of view, Paris-Saclay is made up of three environmental categories: the urban, the natural and the agricultural. This represents fertile ground for creating partnership between the local stakeholders: farmers, residents, businesses, research institutions and public operators and stakeholders. The territory lends itself to leveraging the tools of industrial ecology, to optimize flows of materials, energy and information. Limiting material requirements, recycling waste, setting up short food supply chains for agricultural produce (…) are all measures that support local production and will enable Paris-Saclay to reap the benefits of a circular economy in the territory.
